MeshLink

MeshLink is a server application that connects to a WiFi enabled MeshCore node to provide some features over the mesh that might otherwise require an internet connection, such as Weather, Forecast, RSS notifications, Mesh chat bridge, and more. It is currently a work in progress and the project can be found here.

The project is written by Luca Thompson and built on top of Meshcore.js by Liam Cottle in an effort to bring more utility to the mesh. There is currently an alpha version of this software running on San Angelo’s local mesh, and I plan on releasing it into beta soon for other people to deploy on their own. The application is written to minimize mesh traffic and really only sends text messages over the mesh. To use MeshCore in San Angelo, you can add it as a contact using the QR code below. You may need to do a flood advert if you are not getting responses.

Note: The node currently on the mesh goes up and down a lot as I am developing the application as I do not have another Heltec V3 to test with, this will change soon.
